MMM STILL OPERATIONAL!

This Christmas period everyone would want to GH and that won't be good for the system, so this freezing will control the rate of GH and make it orderly.
Note: people GH mostly only on Tuesday and Thursday, but now people will be GHing daily as soon as their mavro is released; and you know everybody's mavro won't be released on the same day, therefore there's bound to be controlled GH.
SO TELL YOUR DOWNLINES:
for those whose mavro is up to one month but you can't GH, don't worry; within 24 hours the eligible ones will be released so they can GH.
The system has to freeze all at the same time (both the eligible and ineligible ones) so that it'll then take time to release the ones up to 30 days.
NOTE: all these are measures to ensure that MMM stays alive till and beyond 2017.
Our rush to GH has now been slowed down, for the sustainability of our community.
MMM pays! Together we build the world!!
Guider Chuudy
This is the explanation...
Dear mavrodians, my mission here is to make us properly understand this new message that seems to be causing panic out there in the hearts of all MMM participants. The message does NOT say that nobody will be able to GH until January, instead the message is saying that you will not be able to GH until after 30days that you actually made the payment of your PH and the recipient confirms. Meaning that your money must actually spend minimum of 30days outside. So for example, if you PH 100K on 5th November, and you are matched to pay on 10th November, assuming that you made the payment but the recipient does not confirm your order until 15th November when he finally comfirms receipt of your payment. From that instant (15th November), your mavros will change status to "CONFIRMED" ( irrespective of colour Blue or Green ), so you will only be able to request for help (GH) on that particular 100k + 30% growth as from 15th December. It is not that you can't GH before January.
Please spread this to all your downlines and all participants.

They are now trying to make their laws look like Gethelpworldwide. So there's no cause for alarm.

THE STUDENTS INDUSTRIAL WORK EXPERIENCE SCHEME (SIWES)

The Student Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) is an accepted skills programme which forms part of the approved academic standards in the degree programme for Nigerian Universities. In 1974, the Federal Government of Nigeria introduced the national policy on Industrial training, called the Students, Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES). This programme is under the umbrella of the Ministry of Education through the Industrial Training Fund (ITF), was designed to help students acquire the necessary practical education/experience in their fields of study and other related professions.
This is an effort which was created in order to bridge the existing gap between the theory taught in the classroom and practice of science, agriculture, medicine, engineering, technology and other professional programmes in the Nigerian tertiary institutions. This programme is aimed at exposing the students to the use of various machines and equipment’s, professional work methods and ways of safeguarding the work areas in industries as well as other organizations and parastatals. The programme was established basically to impact elaborate practical understanding to students with respect to their various disciplines. It is also intended that the student through a process of relation to academic knowledge and practical industrial application would understand the underlying principles and become better focused and acquire the practical applications towards excellence in his or her discipline.
The Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) programme involves the student, the Universities and the industries. This training is funded by the Federal Government of Nigeria and jointly coordinated by the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) and the National Universities Commission (NUC).

MY MUSIC SAVED A WOMAN FROM SUICIDE -- ADA EHI

Gospel music sensation, Ada Ehi, also known as Ada, in this interview with RITA OKONOBOH, shares her thoughts on gospel artistes charging performance fees in churches, how she creates a balance between career and home, the potential of the Nigerian gospel music industry, among other issues. Excerpts:

Background

I was born in Lagos in the 80s to Pastor and Mrs V.C.C. Ndukauba as the second child of four children. I graduated from the faculty of Engineering of the Lagos State University with a B.Sc. in Chemical and Polymer Engineering.

How did your journey into music ministry begin?

I grew up surrounded by a lot of music as both parents were members of the church choir. I was exposed to professional music at a very early age; as a recording and performing background singer for the popular gospel child star, Tosin Jegede, during the early 90s, and as a member of the then children choir from my church which graced many prominent gospel stages. As such, I performed on some of the biggest stages in Nigeria to thousands of people.

How many albums do you have to your credit?

I have two currently: ‘Undenied’ released in 2009 and ‘Lifted & So Fly’ released in 2012. I am currently working on my third album due for release later this year.

Chemical and Polymer Engineering doesn’t seem like a popular choice for many people. Why did you choose that course?

I initially hoped to study Medicine but I changed my mind after secondary school because I thought physics and mathematics with their formulas and calculations were more straight-forward than Biology with its botanical names and all.

What else do you do apart from being a gospel artiste?

I’m currently converting a few of my hobbies into business. I have been developing my ideas for a while being a musician. I also have the task of managing my home and taking care of my family comes first and takes most of my time.

How do you create a balance to ensure that your home isn’t negatively affected by your success?

As I said earlier, my family is my priority. God blessed me with them, that means He expects me to take absolute care and love them. Being a mother, wife, daughter, sister will always be a part of who I am, so, I sing and bless them first. They are the first people I minister to and are part of my ministry, and that is how I win because we win together.

What are other challenges you have faced as a gospel artiste?

Some of the challenges I faced were at the beginning: being yourself and having a unique sound. Then the music distribution network which in Nigeria was mostly controlled by an open market, as well as the piracy thing, are also challenges I faced. Thank God for the digital sales and online bloggers and promotional sites; they helped put the music out there.

Where did you get your music training?

My parents had a very unique and international music collection. I grew up listening to that music library with pop, rock, classical and country influences from groups like Handle, Mozart, Bach, Maranatha Music, Integrity, Mary Mckee and the Genesis and so on.

Do you think gospel artistes should charge performance fees in churches?

Well, I don’t think this is something you should discuss lightly and just answer yes or no, but I’ll say gospel music is a calling and everyone called should be led and directed by the Spirit of God who has called him/her into ministry.

In 2015, you became an ambassador of African Cable Television (ACTV) and signed a deal with Tecno Mobile to have your songs and music videos pre-uploaded on select mobile phones. Do you see this as a step forward for the gospel music industry?

Yes, I definitely think it a step forward for the gospel music industry and I would love to see more of it for us. To say gospel artistes should not expect material rewards is a contradiction of what we believe as Christians. The Bible records Jesus saying “Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these thing shall be added unto you” which was exactly what happened in my case. I got to know about the company the day I received the call about being their brand ambassador and face of the cable TV brand. It was divinely orchestrated; I was not expecting it. And then, the mobile company is a global mobile giant with millions of people on their platform, so imagine how many people I have the opportunity to reach with the gospel.

I would say this to any Christian who thinks we should shy away from endorsements and anything like this, Jesus said “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” Mark the words “ye” that’s us the called and “all” the “world.” He didn’t say some but “all” and preach. How do we then preach to the entire world if we shy away from platforms that project us to the world? We are not sent only to the church altars but to the entire world.

Which of your songs is your favourite?

Laughs… I have more than one favourite.

What should your fans expect from you soon?

More music with the voice of the Lord. God is still talking and we are forever publishing His word.

The Nigerian gospel music industry doesn’t seem to be doing so well, when compared to their secular counterparts. Why do you think is the problem?

I don’t think so. We are about different purposes and desires. Gospel music is life-giving and has a transforming impact that is eternal. You cannot compare both.

Will you feature with a secular musician?

Depending on what project we are collaborating on, I do gospel 100 per cent.

Which of the testimonies as a result of your song has been your most moving?

So many. Currently, especially on two of my songs ‘Only You Jesus’ and “I Testify” there are two testimonies coming to mind now. There was a woman who was going to take her life because of a life-threatening condition she had struggled with for many years. Just as she was about to take her life, she heard my music, and was immobilised till her children came in and saw her in that position. The second one was about another lady who was in labour for over a day and the doctors told her to get ready for surgery. Then her sister sent her the track ‘I Testify’ and she started declaring she had a testimony. She had her baby that same night. I have countless.

How do you handle your fans, especially the male folk, considering the fact that you’re beautiful?

Thank you for the compliment. It has never been a problem. I point them to Jesus! Also, I have a very solid team and structure with regards to my PR.

Where do you see gospel music in the nearest future?

Blessing more lives and raising many more that would be a blessing to their world.

Niger Delta Avengers strikes again, reinstates vow to bring Nigeria’s oil production to ‘zero'

Niger Delta Avengers, the new militant group that has claimed responsibility for a string of attacks on oil and gas installations in the Niger Delta, continued its disruption of Nigeria’s oil production with the bombing of more crude oil pipelines Thursday.

The group announced the latest attack via its Twitter handle on Thursday evening, saying it blew up “Ogboinbiri to Tebidaba and Clough Creek to Tebidaba crude oil pipelines in Bayelsa State.”

“At about 2:00am today @NDAvengers blew up the Ogboinbiri to Tebidaba and Clough Creek to Tebidaba crude oil pipelines in Bayelsa State.”

The Avengers added that the latest disruption is “in line with our promise to all international oil companies and indigenous oil companies that Nigeria oil production will be zero.”

The group did not say which oil company is operating the pipelines.

The group’s operation had become more audacious in recent weeks as it continued to cripple Nigeria’s oil production, demanding a sovereign nation of the Niger Delta people.

The Avengers had rejected a meeting recently convened in Abuja by the federal government, warning of its readiness to carry out an attack that will “shock the whole world”.

“The Niger Delta stakeholder’s meeting is an insult to the people of Niger Delta. What we need is a Sovereign State not pipeline Contracts.

“To the IOC’s, Indigenous Oil Companies and Nigeria Military. Watch out something big is about to happen and it will shock the whole world,” the group tweeted on Friday.

Last Thursday, it claimed responsibility for an attack on a gas pipeline belonging to Chevron in Delta state.

“We warned Chevron, but they didn’t listen. NDA just blew up the Escravos tank farm main electricity feed pipeline,” it said.

The militants said the oil facilities were sabotaged following attempts by Chevron to carry out repairs of main Escravos crude oil pipeline it blew up earlier.

A spokesperson for the group, Mudoch Agbinibo, had last month warned the Nigerian government of further attacks if their demands were not met.

Two weeks ago, Chevron’s Makaraba crude oil line was attacked on the offshore Okan manifold in the region.
The attack followed previous ones on NNPC, Agip, Shell and other major oil corporations’ facilities across the delta states and it has resulted in the loss of over 40,000 barrels of crude oil per day.

NIGERIA BLEEDS AS MILITANTS BLOW UP MORE PIPELINES

The attacks, on two separate gas and crude oil pipelines belonging to Chevron, Wednesday night, caught security agents and the oil company unawares.
It was learned that both lines were blown up during Wednesday’s downpour which prevented residents and workers  from hearing the explosions.

An underground Chevron crude oil trunk line along the Ceria creek, near Abiteye, and a major electricity gas line were severely affected in the attacks.

Sources said both incidents happened a short distance from the company’s multi-billion dollar tank farm in Escravos. It was gathered that the incident was noticed by workers in the production department when they observed a drop in production pressure early yesterday.

 Militants attack

Yesterday, a top Chevron management staff and a security source  confirmed the incident to our correspondent. The source said a technical team of experienced engineers had been dispatched to the scene of the spill to ascertain the true cause.

A local source in the area said: “At the moment, the entire creeks are awash with crude oil.”

Another Chevron source, while confirming the incident, said: “The explosions occurred while it was raining. There are two Chevron gas lines, which are the onshore and offshore. It was the offshore pipeline that was affected, while the other one is a crude oil line. The affected pipelines are located between the Chevron Tank Farm and Ceria near Abiteye community.”

Efforts made to reach Isa Ado, spokesman of JTF, to speak on the development did not yield result as he did not respond to calls and SMS sent to his telephone. Deji Haastrup, Chevron’s spokesman, did not take calls put to his lines, while mail sent to him was  also not replied at press time.

 Gbaramatu calm

Meanwhile, Gbaramatu Kingdom was peaceful and calm after the attack.

Speaking on the constraints facing residents of the area, Public Relations Officer, PRO, Oporoza Youths, Paul Kirifede, said:  “We did not record any form of attacks on oil installations in Gbaramatu. Our only challenge is that military operatives, who patrol the river every minute, are constantly molesting us.  We cannot fish, neither can we embark on our daily business activities.”

 FG meets stakeholders on bombings

Meanwhile, the Federal Government has moved to end the destruction of oil facilities by aggrieved Niger Delta militants, with a strategic meeting with some militant leaders in Abuja, as a first step.

The meeting was attended by high level government functionaries such as the governor of Edo State, Mr  Adams Oshiomhole; National Security Adviser, NSA, Maj.-General Mohammed Monguno (retd); Minister for Niger Delta, Usani Uguru Usani; Minister of State for Agriculture, Senator Heineken Lokpobiri; Coordinator Amnesty Programme, Brigadier-General Paul Boroh (retd); and stakeholders from Edo, Bayelsa, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Delta  and Ondo states.

Following the meeting, the Amnesty Coordinator and SA to the President on Niger Delta, Gen. Paul Boroh (retd), opted to move into the creeks to meet with the aggrieved groups and individuals in order to end the renewed cycle of attacks  on oil facilities.

Boroh is to hold series of discussions with the militants to sheathe their swords and embrace peace.

He said:  “The whole aim of my relocation to the Niger Delta creeks is to enable me identify the aggrieved individuals, groups and hold extensive discussions with them on the need to keep the peace since the government is working hard to put things right in the Niger Delta and other parts of Nigeria.

“From available records, the Federal Government has not reneged on its amnesty package to the region and is working hard to improve the infrastructure needs of the Niger Delta, one of them being the Calabar-Lagos coastal railway, which is already captured in this year’s budget.”

Oil price rises  to $50 per barrel

Also, oil price rose, yesterday, to $50 a barrel,  for the first time in nearly seven months, as a global supply glut that plagued the market for nearly two years showed signs of easing.

The oil markets have suddenly been hit with a multitude of unexpected supply disruptions, the largest of which comes from the more than four million barrels per day that had been knocked offline because of wildfires in Canada as well as crisis in Libya and easing of United States supplies have contributed in buoying prices.

 US pledges help

United States of America, USA, Consular General to Nigeria, Mr John Bray, yesterday, expressed his country’s preparedness to assist Nigeria  restore peace and end the ongoing violence in the Niger Delta by Niger Delta Avengers and other militant groups.

The consular-general, made the disclosure when he visited former national chairman of Association of Traditional Rulers of Oil Mineral Producing Communities of Nigeria, ATROMPCON, and Pere of Seimbiri Kingdom, Delta State, HRM Charles Ayemi-Botu, at his Edjeba Palace Annexe, Warri.

Bray, who was visiting Warri for the first time, said:  “We are looking at whatever we can do to assist the Nigerian government to establish a peaceful, prosperous region in the South-South of Nigeria.”

Oil firms owing FG $2bn — House c’ttee

Meanwhile, the House of Representatives ad-hoc committee probing all oil prospecting licences, OPLs, and Oil Mining Leases, OMLs, granted by the Federal Government, yesterday, said oil companies had deliberately avoided to pay compulsory fees to the tune of about $2 billion.

Chairman of the ad-hoc committee, Gideon Gwani (PDP, Kaduna), who briefed newsmen, said the oil companies, which ought to help the country in view of its present predicament by prompt payment, were owing the government hundreds of millions of dollars, thus compounding the nation’s woes.

He described the situation as alarming and worrisome, noting that it was a dangerous trend that cannot be allowed to continue.

He said:  “It is estimated that the oil companies, by their actions, have either evaded or avoided the payment of these compulsory fees which is presumed to have denied the Federal Government about $2 billion.

“At a time the government is talking of obtaining loans for infrastructure development, such as roads, railways, power plants, petroleum refineries, among others, and where oil blocs have been allocated to some companies to use the proceeds accruing from loyalties, signature bonuses, etc, to fund these important projects, yet several years after, these facilities are still comatose, with little or no new projects to show as approved.”

He expressed unhappiness that the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr Ibe Kachikwu, and Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Governor, Mr Godwin Emefiele, have not responded to requests of the committees.

 Economic impact  of attacks

Nigeria, which is hoping to fund its 2016 national budget in excess of N6 trillion benchmarked at $38/barrel, from mostly borrowings, will be hard put repaying the loans, as the production cutbacks will significantly affect building both the foreign exchange and production reserves.

Painting a gloomy picture of the situation, a former Director of industry regulatory agency, Department of Petroleum Resources, DPR, Mr. Osten Olorunsola, noted that the situation was so serious that it required both urgent military and political interventions.

Olorunsola told Vanguard on phone:  “If the situation is not resolved quickly, it portends grave consequences for petroleum industry and the economy in general, so it requires both political and military solutions.

“Attacks on oil facilities are a major setback because each time this happened, apart from the production disruptions, it takes time, about two to three years, for people to remobilise. As a result, oil and gas production nose-dives, there will be no development in the region during the period of the downturn, and if there are no production activities, there will be no building of oil reserves.”

Uduaghan urges FG to engage militants

Also, former governor of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, urged the Federal Government to initiate a “serious engagement process” with the militant group to end the bombings in the region.

Uduaghan told  Vanguard:  “I am disturbed by the damage, which the explosions are causing to the environment. We live here, it is affecting us and I also appeal to the Niger Delta Avengers to stop the attacks.”

He said the Federal Government should review all the past decisions and templates for the development of the region and take a holistic decision to tackle development of the region to stem continuous resort to violence by militants.
